On Saturday we watched Jeremy Loops play at the Cape Farmhouse. What an amazing afternoon. We said hello and goodbye to some lovely faces, and danced all afternoon till the sun set. Jeremy is a deep South boy and lives in Kommetjie, and old surfer : ) He's on tour now so you should go and see him if you can, you can catch up with him here - https://www.facebook.com/jeremyloops?fref=ts

Band Crush - The Foo Fighters
December was full of concerts in Cape Town and last month we saw The Foo Fighters. It was hands down The Best Rock performance of a lifetime. Dave Grohl plays a ES-335 Indigo Blue Gibson which is totally inspiring. For all you techie geeks you can get the specs here, and even listen to single coil versus double coil, amazing - http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2015-Memphis/ES-335-Figured-Indigo-Blue.aspx
It was the best night of my life except that I fractured a finger. This is a problem for me as a musician, but I would do it all again. (no, don't ask me how I did it, but I wasn't playing air guitar)

Band Crush - The Lumineers
Have you ever had a band crush? I've had loads. The band crush I've had for a long time now is on The Lumineers. And I got to see them live in South Africa at Kirstenbosch Gardens in December. It was incredible, probably the best Folk music concert of my life. They are exactly the same Indie Folk genre that I play in and write in. And their stage performance was OUT OF THIS WORLD. A magical hot summer's night to remember. Honestly if they're in your city go and watch them. You won't regret it. Pics to follow. I cover these : )
