Evelyn Hart

Evelyn Hart is our very own Florence & the Machine. she is better than Florence. A sweet celtic gothic songstress, she has created her own genre. I cannot describe it, you've got to see it. She held her own, and commandeered a rowdy Waiting Room crowd for over an hour with her voice. you could hear a pin drop. I'm not exaggerating. I've still got goosebumps. Her band members (her fiance is the drummer, plus her guitarist) fit in perfectly with her, weaving spell-binding rhythms and e-bow around her vocals. Here are my pics from Tuesday night, and a link to her Facebook page. I hope you get to see her soon. https://www.facebook.com/evelynhartmusic

Matthew Mole is the business

Matthew is amazing. I saw him live on Tuesday. His voice makes me yearn for something, I don't know what. He has a great humbleness on stage. Accessible. I hope he never changes. If he had a cd out I would by ten. C'mon Matthew, let us have it :) I believe in you. Here are my pics from Tuesday night, at the Waiting Room. I hope you like them. Go and listen to his sounds here http://soundcloud.com/matthew-mole
and go and watch his shows. this boy gonna go far..

a Priceless sunset

I was sitting on Chapman's Peak drive yesterday watching a blood red sun dip into the ocean when I realised I live in the most beautiful city in the world. I realise this is no new realisation, I realise this realisation every day. To have this realisation  every day, how lucky is this? I found the perfect soundtrack for it here. It's an exact reflection of what I was feeling in that moment; Cape Town my humble thanks.  http://www.indieshuffle.com/sunday-night-chill-koreless-sun-glitters-geotic-more/

Kids of Indica

These boys are from Hermanus (where I grew up, I know I know). Quite simply put, they rock out. They cover gorgeous Indie folk songs that opens your heart and makes you feel a whole lot. They have a gorgeous way of slowing a song down and making them more poignant. Both lads have voices on them. Yes, I think you should book these boys for your next event. (I watched them at Wildekrans, the Wildekrans people have good taste in music) Just ask me. Go to their facebook page here - Kids of Indica

Wildekrans Pink Wine Festival

Spring has sprung! Last weekend I went to the Wildekrans Pink Wine Festival. Their Shiraz is top! Here are my pics. Super beautiful Canola fields are in bloom...go wine tasting and overnight in their self catering cottages, it's affordable and the owners are divine! Have a drink at the Botrivier hotel while you're there, a place made of legends.
